The central hypothesis is that so long as the central gravity of man kinds conscious awareness tends toward the unaware, we are subject to the evolutionary forces and thus determinism ... Awareness is the key that unlocks access to free will and thus establishes a foundation where by we create our own destiny
THE MATHEMATICS
Information is data in motion
Data is a representation of quantitative or qualitative variables
The purpose of information is to affect the state of a dynamical system
A dynamical system is a mathematical concept where the fixed rule describes the time dependence of a point in a geometric space
State is a mathematical model of a physical system (representation of reality)
This model possesses a set of real numbers [vector - instance of data] that can represent a point in the state space
Small changes in the state create small changes in the numbers
These changes are governed by the fixed rule [evolution]
The fixed rule is deterministic therefore for any given state and time interval, only one possible future state exists
At the core of this fixed rule is the concept of a function
A function associates each input with exactly one output - input of x into function f, produces f(x) ... always.
A function is an algorithm/formula which is a step by step procedure for calculations.
To my mind this seems to be the lowest level of abstraction for the system - individual inner functional states seem to be too granular (IMHO). Therefore the function encapsulates the DNA of the lowest level of state based abstraction.
THE LINK TO BEHAVIOUR
If this is the case then a function as a concept could be compared to behaviour
Behaviour describes the actions and manners resulting from interactions - they are the state level functions
Interactions are information exchanges
Therefore Man kind is in a dynamical system that is deterministic to the point of the cultural behaviours
These behaviours created a deterministic nature in the system
Culture shapes the DNA of the behaviours - constituting their function where by x as input to f will always produce f(x)
Evolutionary nature allows us to exist and move in a positive direction for the group until such time as the system collapses - everything comes to an end via an evolutionary system - it is determined.
Cultures themselves are evolutionary - coming into contact and impressing variable changes on each other - therefore there is a cross section of deterministic systems where by the reach of the dynamical system "Man Kind" is drifting further than it would if culture remained constant as mathematical model tend to represent
THE ROLE OF AWARENESS - THE SEED FOR OUR SURVIVAL
However, the change is not conscious ... there is no compelling reason for the points in the system (us) to become aware of the evolutionary dynamic until such time as it is too late. The system takes care of us until it wipes us out ...
Therefore I believe that God (the entity that created the "Man Kind Dynamical System") has encoded us with the ever present "Why" which is the resonance in the system that is the only key to survival. Compelling us to actually establish a system of deep enquiry that ultimately I believe is designed to establish awareness.
Awareness brings about the ability to choose.
Without awareness our responses (output - f(x) ) to our senses (inputs - x) is governed by the DNA of "f"
Awareness is the ability to establishes greater space between sense and response such that it permits the reconstitution of the DNA of "f"
Choosing to establish the foundations for a different outcome - breaking the deterministic nature of the evolutionary system
I like to think of this a Free Will
